Alumni Reunion at AKHSS Kuragh
KURAGH: The Aga Khan Higher Secondary School organized its second alumni reunion on the other day at AKHSS Kuragh in the presence of distinguished guests Mr. Shah Saud,DC Upper Chitral, Mr. Irfanuddin, ADC upper Chitral, president Ismailia Council lower Chitral, Mr. Muhammad Afzal, Mr. Aien Shah, Head of Education AKESP,Mr. Khush Muhammad, General Manager AKESP, GBC region,Ms. Nighat Parveen, Principal Government Girls Degree College Booni, Mr. Murad Ali, principal Government Boys Degree College Booni, Mr. Sahib Ur Rahman, Principal Government High School Booni, AKHSS alumni and other notables of the community. The purpose behind celebrating the program was to reconnect with the previous students and to relive the great moments which they had spent here at AKHSS.
The program started with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran followed by recitation of naa’t.
General Manager AKES, P Mr. Khosh Muhammad took the opportunity to welcome the guests and highlighted the vision and mission of AKES, P.In his speech he shared the achievements of AKESP in promoting girls’ education in the region GBC. He said that female literacy rate has increased to 54% in this region and AKESP plays important role in this regard.
Mr. Shah Saud, DC Upper Chitral, speaking on that occasion said that he was very happy to be part of the program and he acknowledged and appreciated the role of AKHSS.
Current students of AKHSS Kuragh expressed their love towards their school, principal, teachers and alumni in the form of song.
During his speech, Mr. AienShah, Head of Education AKESP expressed that behind the success of these institutions, there is the vision of Imam along with the hard work of leadership and teachers. He further said that students have to work hard and they have to be a good time manager in order to be successful individuals.
The participants benefited and enjoyed a panel talk by alumni and teachers where they shared their experiences and how AKHSS impacted their professional as well as personal life. Some of the alumni shared their experiences and motivated the current students towards their studies.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Muhammad Afzal, president Ismaili council lower Chitral, appreciated the role of AKHSS in the holistic development of students. We are happy to see the graduates of this school serving in different capacities in different organizations.
Souvenirs were presented to the donors on behalf of AKHSS Kuragh for their generous support over the years.
The alumni had a great time socializing with each other over lunch. The program ended with the speech of Ms. Sultana Burhanuddin,Sr.Principal AKHSS Kuragh. She thanked all the guests and the alumni specially to be part of this event.
