Complete shutter down day observed in Chitral town against

CHITRAL: The Business community of Chitral observed shutter
down strike on Friday against the continued power load shading in
the city. The members of the business community also observed a sit
in at the Goldoor square. Later on addressing a big rally of the
public the speaker condemned the indifference attitude of the
elected representatives and district administration. Thy shouted
with full throat against the poor performance of their elected
representatives and termed the district administration and WAPDA
inefficient. Inspite of rain and harsh weather thousands of people
joined the protest rally and expressed their full support with the
business community. The protest rally was addressed by the
president of the Tujjar Union Habib Hussain Moghal, General
Secretary Manzoor Qadir, PPP activist Sharif Hussain and Haji
Hazrat Gul, ex Nazim Azizur Rehman and others. The demonstrators
resolved that shutter down will continue till the restoration of
power in the city. The Chitral bazaar portrayed deserted look.
Hotels, Restaurants and tea shops remained closed and traffic stand
still. The public in general and patients in particulars faced
great hardships due to complete shutter down.
