Education problem in Chitral.

Respected Sir,

This is reference to the letter of Zia Ullah, President Students’ Parents Association, Chitral 26 Dec 2010. The birth of any child in any family causes a great happiness among the people and every parent’s has a desire to educate their child to compete with the recent global and developed world. Chitral is a far flung area which paralyzes the hard working people. The students have the potential and capability to take education. Due to some situations of financial as well as residential problems, they face a lot of problems in getting education. They can’t bear the expenses of residence in other big cities of Pakistan. The 60% of literacy can be raised to 100% after building university campus in Chitral. More than 70000 thousands are moving to the cities every year for higher education.

Female education is very important in today’s world to empower them. Females have played a vital role in the development of every state. Due to lack of university in Chitral most of the female students are not capable of moving towards cities to get education because of residential and financial problems. Most of the female students after doing graduation can’t take education and start living at home where their potential and capabilities are finished day by day.
If a simple university campus is opened in Chitral, will generate huge amount revenue for Chitral resulting in high literacy rate.

Yours Truly,

Sajjad Ali Shah, Noor Alim,
Sanick, Garam Chashma.

3rd Death Anniversary of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed

People come and go, but there are few people who are remembered for a long period of time due to their achievements. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed is one of them. She appeared on the political horizon of Pakistan politics like a shining star and in a short span of time won the hearts of the people of Pakistan. She was the first women prime minister of an Islamic country. Before her Razia Sultana, daughter of Altamesh of Delhi Sultanate had achieved this privilege in the 13th Century. Benazir Bhutto introduced new dynamics in the politics of Pakistan. as well promoting her great father vision. She was an icon of democracy and never compromised on principles. God had gifted her great vision and insight recognized throughout the world. She believed in constitunalism, democracy, transparency, tolerance and social justice as envisaged by the founder of the nation, Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed. A cruel dictator Ziaul Haq failed in his evil mission to remove her from the politics of the country despite of his hectic efforts. She organized the masses against the dictator and finally compelled him to restore democratic system in Pakistan, at least in some form.Zia never wanted to transfer power to the elected representatives of the people, but ultimately he surrendered to Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. This was a great gift which she gave to the people of Pakistan She gave the women of Pakistan their due rights in politics and fought for their rights. She firmly believed in democracy and democratic values and her motto was that democracy is the best revenge. And it is indicated by the fact that she forgave to her bitter adversaries who wanted to wipe out her whole family. Her signing of the Charter of Democracy along with Nawaz sharif is said to be the second important document after the promulgation of the constitution of 1973.

The shaheed Banazir Bhutto was a symbol of federation and worked hard for its consolidation, both in government and opposition. She was a charismatic leader of all the federating units of the country. Her early departure from the politics of Pakistan has left a huge vacuum that can not be filled in short period. Luckily some of her vision and policies have been materialized by Mr.Asif Ali Zardari, the president of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. A liberal, progressive and democratic Pakistan can only be achieved if we follow her footsteps with true spirit. The need of the hour is to rally around the Pakistan Peoples Party and its leader Mr.Asif Ali Zardari.
