DCO Lauded FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance efforts

CHITRAL: Awareness and well prepaid ness is imperative to meet
the challenges of natural disaster. DCO Chitral Rehmatullah wazir
said this while addressing the volunteers of FOCUS humanitarian
assistance at shoghore on Wednesday. The simulation was organized
by the male and female volunteers of Ayun, Koh, Chitral town and
seenlasht clusters. The community emergency response team members
demonstrated the scene of a natural disaster by exercising various
activities. They successfully shifted the victims of the fake
disaster by Para god across the river. The also jumped from the
mountain through rope to provide help to the stained victims. DCO
appreciated the role of focus Chitral office for creating awareness
among the general public. Head of the government department and NGO
heads were also present on the occasion. Amir Mohammad regional
Program Manager Focus briefed the DCO about the activates of Focus
in Chitral District.

Open Kechehry held in Mastuj

MASTUJ: Steps are being taken to resolve all issues
confronted by the people of Mastuj Tehsil. Addressing the gathering
of the people at Booni, Mastuj and Brep DCO Chitral Rehmatullah
Wazir said that negligence and carelessness by the heads of the
departments will not be tolerated and they will be dealt with iron
fist. The DCO Inspected developments schemes in various areas
including Booni-Mastuj road RCC bridge over River Yarkhoon at
Mastuj, Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Booni, Brep bridge and site of
under construction bridge at Kona Mastuj. The people complained
that some heads of departments are not paying attention to their
problems. They said that wheat provided at the PR center are of sub
standards and at least 15Kg sands, soil and other items are mixed
with the wheat. The people also demanded that those contractor who
can't complete the projects in time, they should not be given
construction works again and a discretionary action should be taken
against them.
