By Zahiruddin
CHITRAL: District president of ANP Chitral, Syed Muzaffar
Ali Shah Jan has condemned the local leaders of PPP for taking out
procession against the Chitral DCO and leveling allegations against
him. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday flanked by
other party leaders Bakhtiar Kaki, Aziz Baig, Sher Aga and
Jandullah Khan, he said that it was quite unbecoming of the leaders
of ruling party to take procession against an officer. He said that
by indulging in such obnoxious practice, the PPP leaders have just
exposed their unserious and immature approach in politics.
Defending the officer, the ANP leaders said that he was an upright
person ensuring transparency in all public matters and have sought
the opinion of all the political parties before taking any
decision. They alleged that the PPP leaders wanted their own
ulterior and personal aims fulfilled at the cost of the public and
the defiance of the officer against has attracted their rage. They
said that in the situation after the floods across the district
stretching on 14850 square kilometer, the officer proved his mettle
and started rescue and relief activities. Pointing towards the
provincial minister of PPP from Chitral, Salim Khan, they said that
being a member of the provincial cabinet, he should have got the
DCO transferred from Chitral instead of instigating his party
workers to take out procession that was quite a shameful act. They
said that if the PPP leaders succeeded in proving their allegations
against the official, then ANP will take lead to oust him from the
district.
