PIA and Northern Areas
Two Canadian tourists protested when they were off loaded from
Peshawar bound flight at Chitral Airport on the pretext that their
seats were not confirmed by the PIA head office Karachi. The
Canadian tourists were astonished to know that PIA expects its
passengers to buy ticket in Chitral and get it confirmed from PIA
head office located at Karachi, “Non of my headache” one of the
tourist shouted at the airport. The tourist showed his ticket to
the journalists and said, “ I spent 84 US dollars for the ticket. I
spent 6 US dollars on the airport trip. Why am I being tortured in
this way.”? I heard many foreigners in Chitral complaining against
PIA authorities. It is so pithy that at a time when we are having
only a few tourists due to the law and order situation and
terrorism, PIA has started fresh campaign to tease her passengers
and customers, through novel way of centralized ticketing and
mismanagements, in confirmation of seats.
I appeal to Defense Minister Choudry Ahmad Mukhtar to look into the
matter, and revive the 50 years old ticketing system for Gilgit
Baltistan and Chitral.

Marriages are made in heaven (Voice of an ordinary woman) By: Zehra Parvani
Dear Editor
Totally agreed with Ms. Zehra Parvani that Marriages are made in
heaven and are celebrated on earth as married couple tries to
understand and give respect to each other to turn them self in
heavenly married couple.
The way she has paid tribute to his life partner is really an
awesome way, which reflects that she has willfully accepted the
decision made by her family. This is an excellent way to reflect
her feelings and I can only wish both of them best of luck with
their future endeavors
