Scuffle between two wardens, Girls Degree
college main gate closed for hours

CHITRAL: A hot scuffle took place between
the relatives of two candidates of hostel warden’s post in
Government Girls College Booni as the two opted to fight it out in
the open field. Sources said that one Miss Abida was working on the
post for the last one year on temporary basis and appeared in a
test and interview this year for permanent post but another one was
selected who happened to be a daughter of the college principal.
The rejected candidate, however, refused to accept the result and
alleged nepotism and filed a suit in the court, while DCO Chitral
inquires on the matter and recommended to Director higher education
for cancellation of new appointment and re constitute
an autonomous panel for test interview. In the meantime, the
college principal issued appointment orders of his daughter. This
led to the scuffle between the relatives of the two as both of them
were present in the college gate on the day when the daughter of
the principal was coming to resume her duties. The local
administration led by assistant coordination officer Miftahuddin
rushed to the spot and controlled the warring groups. However, no
crime report was registered against any one on account of
hooliganism. The district coordination officer directed both the
candidates to wait for the decision of the court and not to attend
the college till that time. The students had to wait for hours as
the college main gate was occupied by on the groups who kept it
closed for hours. |
