Poor standard of education.

Respected Sir,

I am Student of Karachi University, mostly inclined towards education. For more than four years I have been teaching in various schools of Karachi to know about the causes of low standard of education. Today I came to a conclusion that schooling system has been made business institution with a lot of corruption in it. Their basic motive is not to educate the young’s but to earn money both legally and illegally. In such a way they are playing with the life of the youngsters.

Most of the schools appoint less qualitative teachers without having any experience and training from any recognized institutions. These teachers are not qualified. They agree in fewer amounts of salary and start playing game with the life of the new generation which we consider our asset for future, and they are totally destroyed. These teachers gave high marks to the students to keep the parents satisfied and quiet. In order to avoid parental chaos, hassle and complications, reasonable marks or grades are given for very little or no effort, so he/ she became habitual of no hard work. These students in future add very little productivity to the state’s capacity to generate resources. It is the same situation in universities (High seat of Learning). Students secure more than 70% marks for no or little effort.

If the poor standard of education remains consistently than it will result in poor management, bad policies, corruption, short-sighted approach etc. Now the authorized people are requested to take note of such situations and keep accountability in schools.

Fardad Ali Shah, Chitrali.
Karachi University.
