Gilgit Baltistan (GB) like subsidy.

People of sub division Mastuj in particular and people of Chitral in general very much support this voice raised before Governor of NWFP during his last visit to Chitral. This is not only the high time but the right time as well to raise such voices of the people of Chitral by privileged persons and responsible offices who have opportunities of meeting and discussing matters of national, regional and local interest of Chitral with Head of State, Governor, Chief Minister and Ministers. Such opportunities, we see are mostly available to our elected representatives, MNA/MPAs. This is the voice of 100% people of Chitral. Before this a representative of sub division Mastuj under QASADO, held meeting with DCO Chitral with documented facts and figures to process the matter at local level for onward submission to Federal Government through province. Through this letter people of Mastuj further requests DCO Chitral to forward this case to Governor of NWFP as he has advised for that. For information of all the stakeholders and the people of Chitral, the subsidy on food in GB is that people in GB get 100 kg bag of wheat at Rs.850/- as against Rs.2525/- in Chitral. This subsidy comes from Federal Government.

Power & Gas prices increased but shortage still there

Dear Sir,

Rise in power and gas’s prices is the first gift for public from government in the begging of 2010. Though a laymen’s income keeps them hand-to-mouth and this new increment of gas & power prices would hit them badly. Moreover load-shading in electricity and gas is also creating panic among the daily wages labourers, as they are afraid of if their factory’s owners close the factories, like the textiles industries. A common-men’s sources of income are same one but his expenses increasing day by day.

People have so many expectations from this democratic government but the government playing blame game and saying it got all these crisis from previous government. The Prime Minister said that his government has been elected for five year term, posing a question that why his government being put to accountability only after passage of a year and half. Here the question is not that weather this government should complete its tenure, the question is that who would take the responsibility while remaining in his authority. Everybody put his responsibility to others, if the concern federal ministers can not over come crises that belong to their ministry then why dose they resign from their ministries. Federal Minister for Water & Power, Raja Parvez Ashraf has given many dates that his ministry will be able to over come the energy crisis. But we observe that all his claims went for nothing and he appeared on media without any shame and announce new date. Such inactive and idle ministers must be dismissed from their post, but the situation seems different, as we all witnessed that suck kind of ministers were awarded with new ministries. The government should take serious steps to control energy crisis and use all other sources of energy to curtail this crisis.
