Former JUI-F leader joins ANP

CHITRAL: The former district president of JUI-F Moulana
Abdul Latif announced his joining in Awami National Party (ANP)
here on Sunday in a press conference participated by the district
president of the party Syed Muzaffar Jan. Giving reason of his
decision of changing his party loyalty, he said that JUI-F
miserably failed to enforce shariat based system in the country
during the five-year rule of MMA in the province. “ANP leadership
accomplished it in time span of less than one year what the MMA had
failed to do in five years and this has forced me to join the party
which is sincere to Islam”, he said. One this occasion, a leader of
Jamaat-e-Islami Qazi Saifullah also joined ANP and stated similar
reason of Moulana Abdul Latif for leaving his party. Syed Muzaffar
Jan said that the party is gaining more and more popularity in the
district day by day due to its good governance in the province. He
said that the district will soon be a stronghold of the party for
which the party workers should strive hard and cash in the
accomplishments of the party for the uplift of the district.

BISE Intermediate exam commence from 17 March

CHITRAL: The matriculation examination of board of
intermediate and secondary education (BISE) Peshawar will commence
in Chitral for which fifty examination centres have been
established. Talking to this correspondent here on Sunday, the
executive district officer of education Qazi Mohammad Abid said
that all the necessary arrangements for conducting the examination
have been completed. He said that for the first time, eight
examination centres have been created exclusively for the females
candidates. Mr. Abid said that stationary and question papers have
been transported to all the fifty examination centres in the length
and breadth of the district despite the blockade of road due to
snow and avalanches. He said that fool proof arrangements have been
made by the education department to weed out the menace of cheating
and use of unfair means in the examination. Mr. Abid also informed
that the supervisory and invigilatory staff to conduct the
examination will reach their respective stations on Monday.
