PPP Chitral Condemned Media trail of President Zardari

CHITRAL: The general secretary of Pakistan People’s Party Chitral district Muhammad Hakim advocate has condemned the media trail of President Asif Zardari and warned that such nefarious activities will lead to derailing of the fragile democracy in the country. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said that the PPP government did not defend the controversial NRO case in the Supreme Court which meant that they were not involved in corruption. Flanked by other party leaders Iqbal Hayat, Bashir Ahmed Khan, Zahir Shah, Sharif Hussain and others, he announced unflinching confidence on the leadership of President Zardari and expressed his determination that the party workers of the district will not shrink from any kind of sacrifice on the orders of the top leadership of the party.

Birth day of Quaid Celebrates in Chitral

CHITRAL: The birthday anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was celebrated here with the renewed pledge of making Pakistan a prosperous and modern Islamic state translating into actions his visions. Anjuman Taraqqi-e-Khowar Chitral had poetry session and seminar to highlight the vision of the founder of the country. Different educational institutions and social organizations had also arranged similar sittings on this occasion. In his address as chief guest, the DCO of Chitral Rahmatullah Wazir said that it was our prime duty to play our respective roles in different capacities to transform the country into a modern state free of all prejudices and injustices. The poets expressed their sentiments about the father of the nation and urged the people to abide by his thoughts and visions. Those who recited their poems and presented their papers included M Yousuf Shahzad, Moulana Israrud Din Al-Hilal, Moula Nigah Nigah, Taj M Figar, Muhammad Irfan, Mueezuddin Bahram, Gul Nawaz Khaki and others.

Young boy assassinates by Imam Masjid

CHITRAL: The prayer leader of a mosque in Denin village stabbed a boy to death here before Friday prayers. Chitral police said that one Inayatullah assaulted his cousin Abdul Basit with knife and stabbed him to death while he was leaving his home to visit his relatives in another village along with his mother and wife. The police has nabbed the murderer while the immediate cause of the murder could not be ascertained and police is investing the case after registering a case under the section 302 of PPC.
