Deforestation in Chitral.

Respected Sir,

Trees are a land mark of our beloved country. Many people used to sit under the shadow of trees, the cool canopy of its leaves. It gives a natural beauty to our country. Hundreds of people get benefit from trees daily.

After four years, I visited to Chitral where I was frustrated seeing the naked mountains of the beautiful valley of Chitral. Most of the old trees were chopped down to make buildings and the remaining was used as a timber wood.

There is no check and balance of deforestation. There are so many legal and illegal ways of chopping down the forests. Only the trees are the best source to reduce soil erosion, global warming. Forests keep our environment clean and green.

So I want to draw the attention of authorities to control the illegal chopping of trees. As well as plantation should be taken place on yearly basis for maintenance of forests. The people of Chitral should be encouraged regarding plantations.
