Girls college without staff

The Editor Chitraltimes.com

Through your kind paper I would like to draw the attention of concerned quarters towards problems of girls college Booni. GGDC Booni is the only Educational institution in this backward area to provide free female education to the girls. But this college has many serious problems. There is no permanent teaching staff. The teachers of Male college of Booni are taking classes. These teachers are doing a good jobs for the female College. They give their precious time to run the college & to provide free education to the students. All the students & their parents appreciate the contribution of the respected teachers of male college. But this is not permanent solution of the problem. It is crying need of to day to provide full teaching staff to the college to solve this problem. The Higher education Authority may kindly appoint local female staff on special & emergency basis. There are enough local female master degree holders in Booni & other areas. it is the genuine demand of girls of this area. In other districts of NWFP most of the people are opposing the female education & destroying the educational institutions, but we are demanding female education in Chitral. But there is no enough educational facilities for the girls. This only college has also no staff. Is it not injustice? The Second problem is the transport facility to the girls. There is two buses for 500 girls. these buses have also no permanent driver. The driver of the male college also performing their duties in this college. How can they perform regular & quality service? This also creates difficulties for the Girls. These buses also do not service to Booni. The Girls of the Booni village are going to the college by foot. This also creates the most difficulties for the students of Booni. How can they acquire quality education. It is the core responsibility of the concerned quarters to provide more buses to the female college. It is also the responsibility of the representatives of the area to solve the problems of the girls of this college. Because education is the right of every girls. Educated mothers build a polite & educated society. In this way we can wash out the ignorance, injustice, poverty, terrorism & intolerance from the society. we can achieve our goals only providing quality & free education to our girls. GGDC Booni is the Institution to do so. Let us every one to contribute their due role to make this college the great seat of learning.

Effects of Advertising:

Sir,

For the average consumer, watching television today has become an almost tiring experience. This is because the average consumer is bombarded with more than a hundred adverts everyday, each time s/he sits to watch a show. These adverts contain at least five alternatives for the same thing. If you want silky hair, there’s Garnier long and strong, there’s Pantene long, there’s Sunsilk long, there’s Herbal Essence and what not. In reality, no shampoo will actually give ‘long and strong’. This is because in brand positioning “the truth is irrelevant” and it is only “the perceptions that matter”. Shampoos in yellow bottles can conveniently fool the customer by showing her how it contains egg and yoghurt, when actually no egg and not even a single kilo are brought to the factories. Is this directly linked to business ethics, or have ethics completely faded out that it has become difficult to see the links anymore? Are these brand managers right, because truth Is irrelevant. It is ultimately the consumer making the purchase decision. The consumer is smart today, so if he makes a foolish purchase, is he the one who should actually be blamed?

The consumers have, in fact, become smarter, but at the same time, ethics in advertising have died away too. It’s a war that’s fought by consumers and brands everyday.
