CM approved enhancement of UAA

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister NWFP Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has approved enhancement of Unattractive Area Allowance (UAA) of the employees of provincial govt working in districts Chitral, Kohistan, Dir Upper, Dir Lower, Swat and merged areas of Hazara & Mardan divisions.

According to details, the UAA of govt employees working in District Chitral has been increased from Rs. 150/- per month to Rs.1700/- in respect of govt. servants of BPS-1 to 15, for employees of BPS-16, the allowance has been increased from Rs. 250 per month to Rs. 3000/-, while the UAA, for employees of BPS-17 & above has been increased from Rs.300/- per month to Rs. 4500/-. Likewise, the ceiling of UAA in respect of govt employees working in Kohistan will be Rs.1500 for employees of BPS 1-15, Rs.2500 for BPS-16 and Rs.4000/- for employees of BPS 17 & above.

In Districts Dir Upper, Dir Lower and merged areas of Hazara and Mardan division, the employees of BPS1-15, BPS 16 and BPS 17 and above will get UAA at the rate of Rs.1000/-,Rs.1500/- and Rs.2000 per month respectively.

The Chief Minister has also approved increase in compensatory allowance for the provincial govt employees working in Swat & Malakand agency excluding Bajur. In these areas, the employees of BPS1-15, BPS-16 and BPS-17 and above will get compensatory allowance Rs.1000/-, Rs.1500/- and Rs.2000/- per month respectively.
