Poster campaigns against MPA condemned

CHITRAL: A social worker from union council Oveer Syed Muhammad Khan has condemned the vilification campaign against the PML-Q MPA from Chitral Ghulam Muhammad by anonymous persons who had published and propagated posters against him. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he said that some unknown elements are tying to diminish and distort the image of the MPA in different means and using different methods. He said that such elements could not stand against the growing popularity of the MPA and resort to such low and mean tactics. Mr. Khan said that the elements had published posters regarding the ‘missing’ of the MPA for the last two months which is totally baseless while he is in Peshawar. Expressing his anguish, he said that the pseudo and anonymous posters were not only distributed in Chitral but also subjected to wide circulation in Peshawar which brought a bad name to the district and its people. He challenged the political opponents to come to the fore and divulge their identity if they possessed some moral courage to do so. Mr. Khan praised the MPA and said that during the short span of only one year in the assembly, he has earned a good name for himself and has effectively represented his electorates. “It was due to his relentless efforts on the floor of the house that the government reinstated many projects of irrigation channels of Droon Oveer, Lavi Drosh and Singoor”, he said and added that no person in his constituency can question his integrity. He said that the MPA had been a food contractor for a long time but never indulged in illegal and corrupt practices to amass wealth. He said that despite the bitter opposition of handful opponents, he will be elected as MPA in the constituency in the time to come. “He is eternal MPA of Mastuj sub-division whether some people like or not”, he said in a fit of rage.
