An Open Katchery held in GaraumChashma

CHITRAL: NWFP Minister for Population welfare Saleem Khan has strongly directed the heads of all line departments of Chitral to perform their duties honestly to serve the masses and solve their problems without delaying tactics as they are public servants and as much accountable for the public. He was addressing an open katchery at Garamchishma , his native village some 50 KM from chitral town. He stressed upon Parents Teachers Councils (PTC) of government schools to play their due role in improving the standard of education and ensure teachers students attendance and also the proper utilization of repair funds in schools. He said that provincial government has released 150 million fund to Parents teachers association and the PTCs should ensure its proper utilization. New building would soon be constructed for government higher secondary school of Garamchishma, he announced. Saleem Kahn said that provincial government was focusing on health and education that are the main things for the development of a nation adding that some health units in Chitral would be handed over to Aga Khan Health service under public private partnership if health department cant not support these unit to facilitate patients in that respective areas.

On the complain of local elders about no balance and weight system at some wheat sale point s and ware houses of wheat at Chitral, Provincial minister directed District Food Controller to submit him detail of all these sale points where there is no balance and weight system as soon as possible. People of the area complained of shortage of staff and non availability of electricity in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Garamchishma. Provincial Minister directed the concerned authorities to address the issue at the earliest. On the complaint of local people regarding recruitment in Chitral Border Police, DCO Chitral assured them that local people would be given preference in recruitment of border police and regular police to compensate and support these downtrodden people. Elites of the area also complained that some female and male teachers have hired outsiders by giving them nominal remuneration and not perform their duties. Provincial Minister directed DCO Chitral and head of education education department to conduct an inquiry in this regard.
