Akhtar Kohistani traced in Nooristan

CHITRAL: The ex-official of Afghan government Akhtar
Kohistani has been taken to Nooristan area of Kunar province of
Afghanistan after his abduction from Drosh town of Chitral on
Sunday night last. A senior police officer told y that the clue of
the kidnapped person has been traced in the Nooristan area whose
borders are adjacent to the district. He said that a brother of
Akhtar Kohistani has arrived here from Afghanistan and has
confirmed his presence there. Regarding the motive of the reason,
he said that the main motive behind the abduction can be a monetary
dispute and the abductors are all local persons. He said that a
senior official of the police has been sent to the border area of
Arsoon for further probe into the incident. Twelve armed persons
had abducted the former media advisor of the ministry of local
government and rehabilitation of Afghan government from Chitral
last Sunday.
