Appeal: Send Foreign Exchange To Homeland

Dr. Yasir Khan from Australia has transferred a thousand dollars per head on behalf of his family members. The objective? Let the money reside in Pakistani banks. Time has come for Pakistanis to aid Pakistan.

Let others, especially our billionaire and millionaire leaders like Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Ishaq Dar, Humayun Akhtar, Admiral Mansur ®, Lt Gen. Zahid Ali Akbar ®, bankers like Shaukat Aziz and Shaukat Tareen and many many others bring their monies to Pakistan as it will evoke the much needed confidence among the expatriates that (One) their money will not be squandered and plundered as heretofore by a few and (Two) the foreign currency accounts will not be frozen as was done during NS regime.

Such difficult times come not that often in the life a nation and can make or mar it. A spontaneous action by the Pakistanis could inject a new blood in Pak economy and may very well result in the breaking of the Begging Bowel once for all.


Following is the text of the email of the proud Pakistani Dr. Yasir from Australia:


Salam Alaikum,

I am an overseas Pakistani working as a Doctor in Australia. I sincerely request all esteemed journalists to make an appeal in your articles for overseas Pakistanis to send remittances in this hour of need. I myself have transferred a thousand dollars per head on the behalf of each family member only to facilitate financial stability in our beloved motherland. A spirited appeal for a measly $350 per head will not go unnoticed as most of the Pakistanis I know are more than willing to lay down their lives for Pakistan not just send remittances. I hope you will join me in this initiative, the time has come for Pakistanis to aid Pakistan.
