AKDN (Balance Sheet)
Dear Editor,
As a non Chitrali but regular reader of chitraltimes.com, I would
like to express here my point of view regarding Mr. Islamuddin’s
political propaganda against AKDN through the online newspaper.
First of all, AKDN is a highly reputable organized, recognized and
trustworthy international institution and direct controlled by HRH
Prince Karim Aga Khan. Therefore for audit evaluation and balance
sheet, it’s most required of an institution with an excellent
record and huge manpower. In my perspective, how is it possible for
a single person sitting in a remote and mountain covered area in
Chitral has the power to evaluate and issue a balance sheet within
a couple of hours.
According to me, it’s an insult, and heartbreaking to all the
Chitralians to face these kind of baseless arguments about an
international prize winner organization which has left no stain
since birth. I personally think that Mr. Islamuddin owes an
apology.
Secondly, it’s possible that the learned writer has been rejected
to work for any AKDN organizations for any position, which makes
him angry and want to play a political game especially on the
occasion of His Highness’s expected visit to Chitral.
Many of the learned writers expressed their opinions about this
subject. One of the writers named Mr. Shafi-ur-Rahman, acted
emotionally and tried to attack personally on Ms. Bushra Aman of
Canada, saying that “she should respect knowledge and age before
commenting on a high profile personality”. To my perspective, this
means that, he is trying to tell indirectly not to express her
opinion just because Mr. Islamuddin is older and more educated then
her.
I must say that we all are Umat-e-Mohammadi, regardless of age. Our
prophet (PBUH) said “To acquire knowledge is binding upon all
Muslims, whether male or female”. He also said, seek knowledge even
if takes you to travel to china. “He who travels in the search of
knowledge, to him God shows the way of Paradise”. In these
Ahadithse Mubaraka, our Holy Prophet (PBUH) doesn’t mention any age
to get and express knowledge.
Famous Muslim “Ravi” Abu Hurirah (RA) was only 13 years old when he
was starting “riwayat” of Holy Ahadithse. Another well known Muslim
mathematician, and philosopher is Abu Ali Sina (Avicenna) who was
only 7 years old when he memorized the Holy Quran by heart.
Therefore, it’s absolutely ridiculous for Mr. Shafi-ur-Rahman to
say that age matters when it comes to one being able to express
their views.
In conclusion, I must affirm that Mr. Islamuddin is attempting to
lay down a very risky foundation and fluttering on the hands of his
political lords. In result, situation like Sawat and FATA will take
place in Chital also if arguments like these continue. I personally
and humbly appeal to my Chitrali brothers and sisters, elders and
senior citizens, youth and students, government servants and civil
society members to please have a mutual harmony and prevent
upcoming flood in Chitral.
