Mastuj Truck able bridge and Booni Shandur road

Dear Editor,

I would like to bring in your notice that work on Mastuj bridge and road is in progress @ the speed of tortoise. This has badly suffered life of people of the area from Booni to Shandoor and Broghil.

For your reference we would like to mention just one example of bus fare and transportation charges from Chitral to proper Mastuj. Total distance from Mastuj to Chitral is 107 kilometer. Out of 107 km Booni to Mastuj only 33 km is rough road. This time transporters are charging Rs.200 from Chitral to Mastuj and Rs. 100 from Booni to Mastuj per passenger. Rs.100 per 40 kilogram for transportation. Now it is beyond control of public how bear these heavy charges.

Indicators of poor speed work at bridge and road

1 Limited number of human resources at bridge work
2 Very rare use of machines
3 Only one machine is working on road
4 Absenteeism of labors very common at bridge and road work
5 The existing machines are too old and developing fault frequently.


Therefore, through your esteemed online we request  to Govt: high-ups to speed up the construction work on Booni Shandur road and Mastuj bridge.
