Girls outshine boys in the intermediate examination

CHITRAL: The girls outperformed the boys in the intermediate
annual examination in Chitral district and grabbed the first three
positions, sources said. In the science group, Iffat Kehkehshan of
government girls college Chitral stood first in the district by
obtaining 890 marks out of 1100 and Faryal Qadir of the same
college stood second and obtained 886 marks. Hundred percent
students of the college passed in first division, according to the
gazette notification. In the humanities group, Sardar Alam of
government college Chitral stood first in the district by obtaining
813 marks.

Two jawans of Chitral Scouts martyred in Bajaur

CHITRAL: The dead bodies of the jawans of Chitral Scouts
killed during the Bajaur operation were brought here for burial in
their respective ancestral graveyards, sources said. Havaldar Noor
Hayat belonged to Bokhtooli Lotkhoh while sepoy Latifur Rehaman was
from Broze village.
