Chitral welfare Association president in 'Meet the Press' in
Chitral

CHITRAL: The president of Chitral Welfare Association (CWA),
Karachi Syed Noor has said that the Chitrali community has its
population of more than 100 thousand in Karachi which plays a basic
role in the development of Chitral in one form or the other.
Addressing a ‘meet the press’ programme at Chitral Press Club here
on Tuesday, he said that due to the limited opportunities of
employment in Chitral, the unemployed youth throng to Karachi city
in large number and get absorbed there due to its congenial
atmosphere there. He said that his organization (CWA) is playing
its vital role in uniting the Chitralis in Karachi under one banner
and provide them with guidance to enable them to solve their
problems and preserve their culture and identity. He said that CWA
has so far extended financial help to numerous people of Chitral in
treatment in the Karachi hospitals, especially in Aga Khan
hospital. He said that financial assistance and guidance is also
provided to the indigent students who want to seek admission in the
colleges and universities of Karachi. He said that the Chitrali
community in Karachi has come to be reckoned as a discernible
entity and assert themselves when needed. He said that the Chitrali
community in Karachi feel or make no difference of any kind in
their ranks and play a praiseworthy role in development. On this
occasion, the eminent columnist and scholar Dr. Inayatullah Faizi
also expressed his views.

Chitral Police arrests four alleged thieves

CHITRAL: Chitral police has arrested four persons
allegedly involved in theft and burglary in a house in Rehmatabad
of Kalash valley Bumburate . the local police has registered a case
against Samiullah and his three accomplices on the complaint of
Haji Gul Rehman the other day. The complainant has alleged that the
accused had broke open his house in the locality and decamped with
valuable articles and that his life and property were under
constant threat. Taking a stern cognizance of the complaint, the
DPO Sher Akbar issued orders to police station Ayun to bring the
culprits to book. Remand of the accused has been obtained from the
local court that has been booked under 389/390 PPC and 14 hudood
ordinance.
