CABINET OF LAFH DISSOLVED

CHITRAL: District officer, community development Chitral has
dissolved the cabinet of Legal Aid Forum, Chitral on the demand of
the majority of its members, says a handout issued here on Tuesday.
Masroor Ali Shah has been appointed caretaker president and has
been directed to convene general body meeting of the organization
and hold general election to elect its office-bearers for a term of
two years within a month. The organization has been active in the
area in the field of human rights and a foreign funded project for
the easy and equitable access to justice is being carried out by
the NGO. The insiders said that the chairman of the NGO and
majority of the members had developed differences with the
president Niaz Ahmed Niazi advocate and other cabinet members over
some matters. As the NGO was registered with social welfare
department, so on the request of the members, the district officer
dissolved the cabinet and ordered the bank to freeze its accounts
till elections.
