Misunderstanding Chitrali Culture.

Any new administrative office bearer specially SP’s and DC’s when step in Chitral our people well come them according to our traditions. Our way of well come is often over warm for the people coming from out of district. Misunderstanding and miscalculating the meaning of our way of well come, without delay the new officials make the conclusion that, they become the absolute ruler of Chitral. When they step in Chitral. Without any further delay they make the assumption that Chitralies are weak and  poor . The next day they try to be DC from DCO, Halaku Khan from SP or DPO, King of the jungle from DFO, the X-en behave like the bridge at Jughoor was designed and constructed by him and think that he is master of infrastructure. All this happens because of our culture and our values and unnecessary respects. We offer our valuable respects even to those who don’t have any value back home. In fact we don’t need any DCO any DFO, any DPO. We have proved that we can build mega channels without any engineer or X-en, we have maintained our peace and social justice through Gram MOAN and Welaat system. We have achieved much more to protect our forest sitting target as MOAN Welat or Gram. Most of the DFOs learn from Chitralies how to protect forests. The DCO, specially, we never need this position. They come to Chitral often to create rifts among the communities. The recent attack of present DCO on our doctors is worst example. Dr. Salima is not a doctor only, she is mother and sister of all Chitralies, she has reject very good offers from other places and is serving the people of Chitral for decades, she could earn 100 time more if go to Peshawar or any other place. Similarly Dr. Gulzar and Samiullah treat every child like their own kids. Same is about Dr. Faizul Azam, Dr. Nazir and my friend Dr. Yaqoob, and every Chitrali doctor, they are our assets. We need more doctors specially Chitrali doctors in Chitral. We don’t need any DCO, DPO, DFO, X-en. They are liabilities on district government not the assets. Through this letter I will request all Chitralies not to well come so warmly the people who never deserve it. If the doctor was not in hospital in Booni at mid night it is not a big deal, they don’t go to Dara Adem Khel or or South Waziristan, every one in Booni knows the home and phone number of their doctor, they can call him or knock his door and the doctor will be in hospital before patient arrives, there is no need to make mountain out of mole hill. There are many countries in the world working much batter without these creatures, but I have not seen any country where there are no doctors.

Note: I have come to Canada just 26 months before so don’t say sitting in Canada and talking about Chitral.
